As of for the record this washroom facility was constructed by the government for the residents of Sea Lots. This may seem a bit questionable as to why one would consider the reasons that influenced the provision of such a facility. It is much needed by the residents who cannot afford proper toilets in their home so they can use the public facility. The government tried to provide a facility that is beneficial to the residents and one of this nature was highly recommended due to the high level of poverty experienced by members in that area, and it was placed on "Sea Lots water front" where directly behind the structure is the sea.
The type of facilities provided to the people of West Port-of- Spain could drastically vary to the type provided to the people  in the East, for instance, a toilet.
