Approximately midway on Wrightson Road two major industries would be found, namely National Flour Mills (nfm) and Power Gen ( power electricity generation plant). These are potentially avenues of employment for young and experienced dwellers of the Port of Spain area. However, there is a very minute chance of finding an employee of either factories who reside in Sea Lots or anywhere from East Port-of- Spain.

Again here inequality is highly prevalent, employment inequality, because according to the interviewed Sea Lots person, the only jobs available to them in the city are those registered under CEPEP and the Regional Corporation, any other employment opportunities would be found in areas such as Arima, El Soccoro, Aranguez, Barataria, or any of these areas that are located East of Port- of- Spain.

Why can’t residence of the area seek employment within the said area?
